On 27 July Rotary
Public Image Coordinator (Zones 7B and Pt of 8) PDG Howard Tong made a
presentation on behalf of District Governor 9940, Graeme Blick, of a Paul
Harris Fellowship to Krissy Aure-Canson,
Administrator for The Rotary Foundation at the Rotary International South
Pacific and Philippines Office.
Born in the
Philippines, Krissy joined the Parramatta Rotary International office in 2007.
She has served Rotary by providing outstanding service, supported by patience
and organisational abilities committed to recognising success and service
within Rotary and the community. She
has managed the supply and growth of PHF recognitions in a friendly, helpful
and responsible manner in spite of the numbers reaching some 7000 recognitions
during the past year (some 800 more than the previous year).
Rotarians of District 9940 made this recognition of her efforts, which
we know will be reflected and endorsed by other Districts covered by the
catchment of her administration.
The busiest time of her year is from April to July as clubs rush to get
PHFs organised for end of year events and changeovers. In May and June requests
may reach hundreds of PHF requests daily. Clubs who place their requests,
outside the peak period, will be greatly appreciated.
